In 2017, Sam and Anna took a chance on an old restaurant building and transformed it into something special—a warm, welcoming space where scratch-made breakfasts and genuine hospitality could take center stage. With a lot of vision and a little elbow grease, they remodeled the space by hand, laying the foundation for everything The Buttered Biscuit would become. Moberly is more than our first location—it’s the heart of our story and the place that taught us what it means to serve a community with care, creativity, and a whole lot of biscuits.

We met our son and his girlfriend here for breakfast. We arrived about 7:45 am and there were several tables open, by 8:30 am the place was packed and people were outside waiting.
We had lemon beneits, raspberry beneits, strawberry and cream cheese pancakes, southern Benny, the razorback sandwich and French toast sandwich. Portions were large and everything was very good. The service was good as well.

Stopped here on the way Home from FL. It was like finding a hidden Gem. Our server was great and had great recommendations. The food was so delicious and the portions were perfect. The only problem is that we want to come back and this place is far away : ( and we can’t just go when we want. Thank You to the staff for a wonderful experience.
